Well I was off work yesterday for Veteran's Day (I am a first grade teacher) and I was able to snap a few more pictures around the house. Here is a picture of our fairly new silkie coop. It is not completely painted yet but they LOVE it (and yes they all use the ramp.)
It was a pretty uneventful day so a lot of chicken T.V. was happening. My grandmother did come by to pick up some eggs and she was amazed at our chickens. I think she has the fever now! She said she wanted 3!!

Just a little introduction!
I just wanted to give y'all a little background about us. Our names are Matt and Megan. We are from Southeast Alabama. We have been raising chickens for only 9 months now and we have fallen in love with it. Currently, we have 10 silkies (variety of colors), 3 Rhode Island Reds, and 1 Mille Fleur all of which are grown. We recently got more babies!!! We have 2 rhode island reds (one of which my silkies hatched), 1 buff laced polish (one is never enough, I want more), 3 silver laced wyndottes, 2 buff silkies, 1 red silkie, 2 frizzles (it was 3 but 1 passed away R.I.P. Joanna), and 3 silver sebrights. While we are not as experience as other "chicken farmers" out there, we feel like we do a good job! We love our chickens and we may be a little crazy but they are our pets. We also have 3 dogs, 1 foxhound, 1 pitbull, and a miniature schnauzer.
